The BBN division of the aerospace and defense company, Raytheon Technologies, has been awarded a contract to support DARPA’s In the Moment program, according to a Thursday news release.
ITM plans to create the foundation for algorithms to independently make choices where complex and rapid decisions are needed when there is no human consensus.
The RTX BBN-led team will design scenario-based experiments to examine how differences in an individual’s decision making attributes could explain their choices, and how the alignment of attributes of two separate people impacts their willingness to assign decisions to each other, said the company.
