Contractors, Agencies Enter Final Procurement Stretch

Government contractors are entering the final stretch of the fiscal year with billions of dollars on the line, as September is historically the busiest time of year for federal procurement.

In fiscal 2023, agencies spent an average of $4.2 billion a day in September — double the daily average the rest of the year — accounting for 16% of annual federal contracting dollars.
