Contractor Fails to Get Reinstatement of Bomb Dog Contract Suit

A defense contractor failed to convince a federal appeals court to allow it to challenge an explosive detection services procurement under which the US Postal Service awarded contracts to two other providers of detection dogs.

The US Court of Federal Claims correctly concluded that K2 Solutions Inc.'s bid to intervene in the case—following its disqualification—was untimely, Judge Timothy B. Dyk of the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit said in a Thursday opinion.
