Two Connecticut-based dental offices and their owners will pay a total of $192,544 plus interest to the federal government and the state to resolve claims that they violated the False Claims Act by billing Medicaid for services that were tainted by kickbacks.
The US District Court for the District of Connecticut on May 3 granted the plaintiffs’ motion for a consent judgment, according to the docket.
The defendants have made their first two payments, which reduces the total amount the plaintiffs seek to $186,726, plus interest, the docket says.
