Commerce’s Procurement Errors Cost Bidders ‘Significant Revenue’

The US Department of Commerce’s unreasonable elimination of four bids for IT services under a $1.5 billion procurement cost the bidders “significant revenue,” the US Court of Federal Claims said in an opinion released Friday.

The court announced its judgment in this protest May 3, enjoining contract awards issued under the Commerce Acquisition for Transformational Technology Services (CATTS) procurement, and ordering the department to re-evaluate technical proposals from protesters Ekagra Partners LLC, CAN Softtech Inc., Syneren Technologies Corp., and JCS Solutions LLC.
