CJW Loses Protest of Navy’s $750 Million Waterfront Procurement

The Navy reasonably eliminated CJW Construction Inc.'s bid from a $750 million procurement to build and renovate waterfront facilities because the company lacked requisite experience, the GAO said in a decision released Friday.

The Navy reasonably decided CJW didn’t show experience building and repairing a concrete pier or wharf, the Government Accountability Office said.

CJW’s bid failed to satisfy a material requirement of the solicitation, the GAO said.

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest seeks to award contracts to build, renovate, and repair facilities in locations in California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico.
