Cardinal Health Whistleblower’s Suit Moving to South Carolina

A whistleblower’s False Claims Act suit alleging that Cardinal Health Inc. and others improperly won drug contracts from the US Department of Veterans Affairs is being transferred to a South Carolina district court.

The US District Court for the Eastern District of Washington granted the defendants’ motion to transfer the case to the US District Court for the District of South Carolina on Monday. Whistleblower UPPI LLC consented to the transfer, Chief Judge Stanley A. Bastian said.

The South Carolina district is more convenient because that is where the relevant agreements were negotiated and executed, the defendants said.
