Caddell Construction Can Keep $262 Million Turkey Compound Award

Caddell Construction Co. LLC can move forward with a $262 million US Department of State contract to build a new consulate compound in Adana, Turkey, the GAO said in a decision released Friday.

Protester B.L. Harbert International LLC raised several challenges to the award, including an argument that the department improperly assigned its bid a significant weakness for the proposed location of Marine security guard quarters.

But the department’s evaluation was reasonable in light of security concerns outlined in the request for proposals, the US Government Accountability Office said.
