Bureau of Prisons Procurement Hurts Small Business, Suit Says

The US Bureau of Prisons is unlawfully disadvantaging small businesses in its pursuit of a contractor to provide residential reentry center services in the Washington, D.C. area, according to Core DC LLC.

Core, which provides services under an incumbent contract, says the agency conducted a flawed “Rule of Two” analysis before deciding to issue its procurement on an unrestricted basis. The company’s US Court of Federal Claims complaint was made public Jan. 23.
