Booz Allen Denied Protest of $64 Million Air Force IT Contract

Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. lost its protest of an Air Force IT support contract award to a rival, after the GAO found that an agency’s evaluation and tradeoff analysis of their bids, and the resulting award decision, weren’t unreasonable.

The General Services Administration wasn’t out of line when it concluded that, while Booz Allen had an edge over General Dynamics Information Technology Inc. in its technical approach and past performance, the benefits of awarding the contract to Booz Allen didn’t justify its $8.7 million in additional costs, the US Government Accountability Office said.
