Bid Protest Relief Rate Returns to Over 50%, GAO Report Says (1)

The Government Accountability Office is again providing relief to over half of contractors challenging federal agency contract actions, the watchdog’s annual report to Congress says.

Protesters experienced an effectiveness rate of 51% in fiscal year 2022, up from 48% a year ago, according to the report made public on Tuesday.

The effectiveness rate reflects how often protesters convinced the GAO to sustain a protest or an agency to fix a procurement error with corrective action.
