An attorney for a company that leased property to the US Postal Service in Virginia has been sanctioned for raising “frivolous” arguments in a contract dispute with the government.
Federal Realty Partners’ attorney raised several “erroneous arguments,” including asserting that the US Court of Federal Claims could order the government agency’s eviction due to the expiration of the lease under the Contract Disputes Act, Judge Matthew H. Solomson said.
