Army Names Leonel Garciga CIO, Principal Army Secretary Advisor

Leonel Garciga has been appointed as the CIO and principal advisor to the secretary of the Army, according to a Monday news release.

Garciga led the Army Intelligence Community CIO and served as the chief technology officer and senior advisor on technology for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, the Army said.

Garciga will focus on the Army’s technological transformation efforts for the effective organization-wide management and use of information systems, according to the Army.
