With a budget request of $185.5 billion for fiscal 2024, the Army plans to prioritize its modernization and multi-domain operations strategies while trimming legacy programs.
BGOV senior analyst Paul Murphy said, “The administration’s budget request for the four contract-heavy portions of Army’s FY 2024 budget total $113 billion, down 5.6% overall from the FY 2023 enacted budget, but up from the last Trump administration budget in fiscal 2021.”
