American Water Wins U.S. Defense Logistics Agency Contract

American Water Works Co. was awarded a U.S. Defense Logistics Agency contract valued at up to $519.6 million.

• The contract will run through May 2070, according to the Defense Department
• U.S. government contract orders made up about 3.7 percent of the company’s revenue in the four quarters ended March 2019
