Amentum’s Protest of Sole-Source Embassy Staff Award Dismissed

Amentum Services Inc. is unable to protest MEC Energy Services LLC’s $28 million sole-source contract to provide the US Department of State with staffing support services at embassies and consulates, the GAO said in a decision released Thursday.

MEC won the contract after the Small Business Administration accepted the awardee into the 8(a) program, which helps socially and economically disadvantaged businesses participate in federal contracts.
