Agency’s Reprocurement Justified by Awardee Personnel Changes

The US Bureau of Engraving and Printing reasonably selected LBO Technology LLC to perform a $23 million task order for integrated security systems after initial awardee KriaaNet Inc. received a default termination, the GAO said in a decision released Tuesday.

KriaaNet, which lost eligibility after staffing changes, failed to show that the agency made an improper de facto sole-source award or violated reprocurement rules, the US Government Accountability Office said. Services the agency sought under an amended request for quotations were similar to those under the original one, the GAO said.
