Zuckerberg, Meta Slam Claims They Profited at Society’s Expense

Mark Zuckerberg, Meta Platforms Inc., and other members of its board fired back at claims by a prominent investor who has accused the tech giant of putting profits above the rule of law, public health, and other social values.

Zuckerberg and the others moved to dismiss the lawsuit from Delaware’s Chancery Court, where it was filed in October by James McRitchie, editor of the online publication Corporate Governance. The proposed class action also targets former chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg, venture capitalist Marc Andreessen, and six other board members.
