Several companies including ZipRecruiter Inc. and Cushman & Wakefield are warning shareholders in their annual reports that the threat of California wildfires—such as those that decimated parts of Los Angeles in January—pose a risk to their business operations, employees or customers.
ZipRecruiter added a reference to the recent wildfires as a business risk in its 10-K annual report on Tuesday. The hiring platform’s corporate offices and primary data facilities are based in California.
