Seven companies have made commitments to disclose their political spending following shareholder proposals from New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli which he withdrew before their annual meetings.
Match Group Inc., Paramount Global, PENN Entertainment Inc., Zillow Group Inc. and Zoom Video Communications Inc. said they will publicly report monetary and nonmonetary contributions to any campaign for or against a candidate, or to influence public opinion on an election or referendum, the NYS Comptroller’s office said on Wednesday. Other than Zillow, the companies didn’t immediately respond to comment requests.
