Washington AG’s Baby FTC Act Suit Against Foreign CRT Makers Can Proceed

Selling a component part in retail consumer goods “in high volume over a period of years” purposefully established minimum contacts with the state of Washington, and, therefore, foreign cathode ray tube makers are amenable to the state’s antitrust and consumer protection suit, the Washington Court of Appeals, First Division, held on Jan. 12 (Washington v. LG Electronics, Inc., Wash. Ct. App., 70298-0-1, 1/12/15).
