Sen. Elizabeth Warren and 25 other Democratic lawmakers urged the Biden administration to quickly finalize greenhouse gas emissions reporting requirements for businesses that are federal contractors.
The rules, ordered by President Joe Biden in 2021 and proposed in 2022, would be a “major step forward” in efforts to reduce government suppliers’ carbon footprints, the Massachusetts senator and her fellow Democrats said in an April 5 letter to federal officials.
