Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc. investors on Thursday rejected a bid asking the pharmacy chain to issue a report on potential risks related to state and federal laws over sales of mifepristone, a drug that can be used to induce an abortion.

The proposal, filed by the Presbyterian Church, said that Walgreens has made conflicting statements on whether it will distribute the drug in all states where abortion is legal. This creates confusion for customers, doctors, and shareholders, the church said.
