Vivint Smart Home Inc., QuantumScape Corp., MultiPlan Corp., and five other companies got a Delaware judge to retroactively validate stock they may have accidentally issued without authorization as part of their blank-check mergers.
Vice Chancellor Lori W. Will granted the eight requests at a marathon hearing Monday in Delaware’s Chancery Court. The decisions came a week after she issued six similar orders Feb. 20 resolving the first wave of stock clean-up petitions, which began in January with a filing by Lordstown Motors Corp.
