VitalPet’s Majority Owner Should Be Dissolved, Petition Says

VitalPet LLC, the partial parent of animal hospital chain VitalPet, was hit with a Delaware petition Oct. 7 claiming the LLC should be dissolved because the chain’s ex-CEO is improperly voting its shares as a bloc.

Benjamin Thomas, the ousted CEO, is trying to regain control of the veterinary group through the LLC’s 55% stake in operating subsidiary Vet Care Inc., according to the Chancery Court petition.
