UpCounsel Ex-Executives Dodge Most of Challenge to LinkedIn Deal

Former top executives at UpCounsel Inc., a venture-backed legal services matchmaker once touted as a driver of the profession’s “Uberization,” dodged most of a challenge in Delaware Chancery Court on Thursday to a deal selling the company’s operating assets to LinkedIn Inc.

Chancellor Kathaleen S. McCormick tossed the bulk of the lawsuit, which was filed last year by the founders of Silicon Valley law firm LegalForce RAPC Worldwide Inc., who became shareholders through an earlier settlement of an unfair trade practices case they brought against UpCounsel.
