UBS O’Connor’s Top Climate-Change Investor Ken Geren Exits Firm

Ken Geren, who oversaw bets related to climate change for UBS Group AG’s O’Connor hedge fund arm, has left the firm, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

Geren, who served as a portfolio manager for the hedge fund unit’s environmental-focus strategy, was replaced by Brendan Naeve, said one of the people, who asked not to be identified discussing the changes. Under Geren’s stewardship, the fund made bets on companies including Rivian Automotive Inc. and Li-Cycle Holdings Corp.

A UBS O’Connor representative declined to comment. Geren didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
