Trump Media Deal Architect Gets Stock Theft Lawsuit Put on Hold

The ex-CEO of the blank-check company that combined with Donald Trump’s social media platform persuaded a judge to pause litigation over his alleged scheme to funnel millions of shares to offshore dummy entities.

A Delaware judge temporarily halted the lawsuit against Patrick Orlando, a founding sponsor and former chief of Digital World Acquisition Corp., the shell company that took Trump Media & Technology Group Corp. public through a blank-check merger. Trump and Trump Media, which operates the president’s Truth Social network, aren’t named as defendants.
