Trump Freeze of Synagogue, Security Grants Draws Democrats’ Ire

Congressional Democrats are lambasting the Trump administration for slow-walking security funding for synagogues amid high-profile attacks on the Jewish community.

Rep. Seth Magaziner (D-R.I.) on Wednesday faulted the Department of Homeland Security for not yet awarding more than $200 million in Nonprofit Security Grant Program funds from fiscal 2024 or announcing another $274.5 million available for 2025.
