Target Seeks End to Lawsuit Over LGBTQ+ Pride Marketing Backlash

Target Corp. has asked a federal court to toss a right-leaning advocacy group’s lawsuit alleging the retailer misled investors about risks from LGBTQ+ Pride marketing that they said cost shareholders billions of dollars following a conservative backlash.

Target on Tuesday urged the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida to dismiss the lawsuit, saying it doesn’t qualify as a securities fraud case. Former senior Trump adviser Stephen Miller’s America First Legal Foundation brought the suit in August on behalf of an investor.
