StanChart CEO Pay Jumps 46% as Total Bonus Pool Increases

Standard Chartered Plc Chief Executive Officer Bill Winters saw his total pay package jump 46% in 2024 as he announced a major cost-cutting program and delivered a 21% increase in earnings.

The 63-year-old received his highest pay package during his almost decade in charge, taking home £10.7 million ($13.6 million). The bank is proposing a total maximum pay package of £13.1 million for 2025, but is reducing the contribution from his fixed pay, following a change in UK rules to allow a higher proportion of compensation to come from bonus awards.
