Sotera Health Co. prevailed in court Friday against a former company vice president who sued for $13.2 million after quitting in response to a demotion.
A Delaware Chancery Court judge ruled for the sterilization and lab testing company, rejecting overlapping legal theories asserted by Kurt Roth, who left in 2022. Sotera and its private equity sponsors at Warburg Pincus LLC and GTCR LLC didn’t deliberately structure a series of complex transactions to avoid triggering payouts to Roth, the judge found.
