SoFi Stadium Roof Fraud Fight Ends in Settlement Between Backers

Backers of the joint construction venture that built the roof of SoFi Stadium, where the NFL’s Rams and Chargers play home games, have settled fraud claims brought by one partner against the other.

Texas businessman Basil Haymann dropped his case against affiliates of Pfeifer Holding GmbH & Co., a 400-year-old German construction conglomerate. The lawsuit accused Pfeifer of using accounting tricks to avoid paying Haymann’s companies their fair share of the project’s millions in profits.

The suit was filed in Delaware’s Chancery Court in April 2022, roughly two months after SoFi Stadium hosted Super Bowl LVI and the NFC Championship ...
