A trade secrets fight between two trash compacting businesses turned into a mutual court loss Friday, with each side taking home nothing after public revelations that both had engaged in fraud.

A Delaware judge awarded no money to either Smash My Trash or Dumpster Devil, a rival startup founded using technical information gleaned from presentations for potential buyers of Smash franchises. The lawsuit accused Dumpster Devil founder Todd Perri of stealing proprietary information by feigning interest.
