Sexism Complaint Fells Board Member at Starwood-Backed Firm

Austrian property manager CA Immobilien Anlagen AG ended the term of a supervisory board member at its annual general meeting after a shareholder complained about what he described as sexist imagery on the man’s Instagram timeline.

The shareholder called on the board to explain how it reconciled its code of conduct with postings by Florian Koschat, who runs Vienna-based investment adviser Pallas Capital. Koschat had served on CA Immo’s board since 2016.

“Postings like this are very frequent on his profile,” said the shareholder, Josef Baumueller, referring to pictures of women that he said objectify them.
