Senate Confirms Trump’s Pick for EPA International, Tribal Role

The Senate on Tuesday confirmed Usha-Maria Turner’s nomination to lead the EPA’s international and tribal affairs office.

Turner was confirmed as part of a group of nominations advanced together by the Senate.

In her new role, Turner will lead an office within the Environmental Protection Agency that works with other nations and international groups to advance US foreign policy goals that are linked to the environment.

The Office of International and Tribal Affairs also works with federally recognized Native American tribes to protect public health and the environment.
