SEC’s Workforce Disclosure Update Demands Urgency, Senators Say

Sens. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) and Mark Warner (D-Va.) on Thursday urged the Securities and Exchange Commission to “act quickly” on new rules to improve company disclosures about their workforce, known as “human capital” reporting.

The agency’s most recent regulatory agenda suggests that a planned update to an existing human capital disclosure rule “is likely to be delayed, leaving investors and savers with insufficient information about how companies invest in their most critical asset—their workers,” their letter to SEC Chair Gary Gensler said.
