The SEC on Wednesday pushed the Eighth Circuit to keep the agency’s climate disclosure regulations in place as court action continues, after it failed to prevent the rules’ week-long pause by another court.
The Securities and Exchange Commission’s latest attempt to convince a court against freezing the March 6 regulations came after Liberty Energy Inc. and the US Chamber of Commerce sought a new hold Tuesday. The US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit previously paused the regulations from March 15 to March 22, after a request from Liberty Energy.
