SEC Climate Rules Face Fracking Company’s Second Lawsuit (1)

An oilfield services company has sued the SEC again over its climate reporting regulations out of an “abundance of caution,” bringing a new court into the mix for lawsuits challenging the rules.

Liberty Energy Inc. filed its most recent suit in the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas on Thursday, less than a month after it brought a similar case that’s now before the St. Louis-based US Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
