Qualcomm’s ‘All-White’ Board Draws Shareholder Derivative Suit

Qualcomm Inc.'s leadership touted the company’s commitment to diversity despite having an “all-white” board and no Black executives, according to a shareholder derivative suit in California federal district court.

The semiconductor company’s board knew it had diversity and discrimination “policies in place on paper, but they failed to give the policies any teeth or enforcement,” a shareholder said in a complaint filed July 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California.
