Corelle Brands, maker of Pyrex kitchenware, agreed to pay more than $88,000 in refunds to customers over claims that its Chinese-made measuring cups were “Made in USA.”
The company is sending checks to more than 10,000 customers who bought the glass cups, the Federal Trade Commission announced Tuesday. The refunds follow a 2023 settlement with the FTC that required Instant Brands Inc.—Pyrex’s parent company at the time—to pay a $130,000 monetary judgment and change how it advertised the cups’ origins.
