PwC US Names First AI Chief in Wake of $1 Billion Investment

PwC added its name to the list of megacompanies elevating an employee to the C-suite to oversee artificial intelligence integration.

The US arm of the accounting and consulting giant named Dan Priest, who’s led various technology divisions in the company for the past 11 years, to the newly created position of chief AI officer Tuesday. The move comes alongside a commitment of PwC, also known as PricewaterhouseCoopers, to invest $1 billion to “expand and scale” AI capabilities over the next three years. Priest will report to Kathryn Kaminsky, chief commercial officer, PwC US.
