P&G Investors Reject Proposal for China Business Risk Audit (1)

Procter & Gamble Co. investors on Tuesday rejected a shareholder proposal that asked for more details on the company’s business in China.

The National Legal and Policy Center, an advocacy group, brought the proposal at the consumer goods multinational’s virtual annual shareholder meeting. It asked P&G to produce a report about the extent that its operations depend on China, which the proposal called a “serial human rights violator and a geopolitical threat.”
