One Equity Partners Legal Fight Escalates in Two State Courts

One Equity Partners LLC affiliates and a former executive have filed dueling lawsuits, with the ex-manager claiming he was ousted in a coup, while the investment firm says he launched a “malicious campaign” against it after being sidelined over his performance.

The fired executive, David Han, sued OEP founder Dick Cashin in Delaware, saying he was forced out on a pretext after objecting to potentially illegal fund management practices. The complaint was made public Tuesday, about a week after affiliates of the firm—the former private equity arm of JPMorgan Chase & Co.— sued Han in New York.
