A Nikola Corp. shareholder sued it in Delaware, seeking company files to probe claims that the electric truck startup fraudulently used doctored video and trick electrical wiring to back up “virtually complete fabrications” about its debut hydrogen fuel cell model, the Nikola One.
“Soon after the company went public, the wheels began to fall off” when a Bloomberg report revealed that a much-hyped prototype was “inoperable,” lacked “key components to power itself,” and “did not contain a fuel cell,” the complaint says. “Nikola’s house was made of cards.”
