Nike Sued Again by Investors Over Digital Platform, Strategy

A Nike Inc. stockholder filed a derivative suit in federal court against the company, accusing its officers of making false and misleading comments about the strength of its digital platforms and its direct-to-consumer strategy.

This is the second suit filed against Nike in the US District Court for the District of Oregon stemming from the company’s digital platforms and direct-to-consumer strategy. Shareholders filed a proposed class action complaint on July 15, alleging that the company artificially inflated its stock price by deceiving investors about the strength of the two programs.
