Nielsen Gets One Victory, One Settlement in Circana Deal Cases

Nielsen Holdings Ltd. moved closer to completing the sale of a segment to Circana LLC, largely resolving two court fights over data access central to the deal.

Nielsen and Circana disclosed Wednesday that they’d ended their direct dispute, canceling a planned three-day trial after the first day. The move came two days after a Delaware judge ordered Nielsen IQ—a consumer intelligence company that spun off in 2021—to keep providing data to Nielsen’s “marketing mix modeling” business, the unit Circana is set to acquire.
