New Hampshire Lawmakers Oppose Bill Aimed at Criminalizing ESG

New Hampshire lawmakers rejected a bill proposed by a group of Republican representatives who sought to criminalize ESG investing by state funds.

The New Hampshire State House Committee on Executive Departments and Administration unanimously opposed the bill and the full House agreed with the recommendation at a meeting on Thursday. In a voice vote, the House decided the proposal was “inexpedient to legislate,” said House Clerk Paul Smith.
