Musk Wins Dismissal of Suit Alleging Twitter Deal Manipulation

Elon Musk won dismissal Monday of a lawsuit alleging that he acted to drive down the price of his $44 billion purchase of Twitter Inc. by publicly airing grievances against the company.

US District Court for the Northern District of California Judge Charles R. Breyer dismissed the lawsuit with prejudice.

Breyer said all the claims brought by former shareholder William Heresniak were “derivative, and because Heresniak is no longer a shareholder, all claims are dismissed for lack of standing.”
