MSG Loses Bid to Block Liquor-License Probe Over Lawyer Ban (2)

Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp.’s lawsuit seeking to block a New York State Liquor Authority investigation into the company’s ban on certain lawyers from its venues was thrown out by a judge.

New York state Justice Arthur Engoron dismissed the case after a Thursday hearing. The judge said MSG hasn’t yet exhausted possible administrative remedies.

The company, which operates its namesake arena as well as Radio City Music Hall and other venues, has come under fire for using facial recognition to identify attorneys at firms involved in legal proceedings against it and exclude them from events. The liquor authority ...
